Rg Upakarma 2016 Avani Avittam Tamil Sankrit English

Rig Veda Upakarma occurs tomorrow, Wednesday, 17 August 2016, whereas the Yajur Upakarma is scheduled one day later on 18 August 2016.  So here is the Rig Upakarma Avani Avittam procedure 2016 as a PDF files.  For the first time, we are posting the Rg avani avittam procedure in Tamil, Sanskrit (Devanagari), and English (IAST) scripts.

A complete Rig Upakarma consists of the following: (How do you like the Sanskrit headings?)

1. ப்ராத: ஸந்த்யா (प्रात: सन्ध्या) – (Not Included)
2. ஸமிதாதானம் (समिदाधानम्) 
3. வபநம் (वभनम्)
4. ஸ்நானம் (स्नानम्)
5. மாத்யான்நிகம் (माध्याह्निकम्) – (Not Included)
6. Rig ப்ரஹ்மயக்யம் (ब्रह्मयग्यम्)
7. மஹாஸங்கல்பம் (महासंकल्प:)
8. ஸ்நானம் (स्नानम्)
9. Savithyadhi தர்ப்பணம் (तर्पणम् )
10. ஹோமம் (होम:)  - (Not Included)
11. யஜ்ஞோபவீததாரணம் (यङ्ग्योपवीत-धारणम्)
12. வேதாரம்பம் (वॆदारम्भ:)
13. ஆசார்ய ஸம்பாவனை (आचार्य संभावना)

However, we will not be able to include all the procedures, for some are not possible to perform without a properly trained priest.  Other procedure like the Sandhyavandhanam are too generic to be included here.

So here is a snapshot of the Rg Upakarma procedure for 2016 in Tamil script.  Sanskrit and English texts also faithfully follow the same procedure.  The Yajur Upakarma and Gayathri Japam procedure (for 19 Aug 2016) have already been posted as free PDF downloads.
