Watch Anand-Carlsen Round-2 World Chess Championship 2013

Today, just about an hour ago, the 2nd round of the FIDE World Chess Championship 2013 underway at Chennai came to a close.  The round 1 game yesterday was a 16 move draw.

So what happened today?  It was slightly better.  If yesterday they took only one pawn off each other, today we saw a virtual slaughter - including an exchange of Queens.

But the result?  A 25 move draw.

To watch the video simulation of the game and to download PGN file ..

To recreate the simulation, I typed down the notations, laboriously by hand, saved it as a PGN file, ran it in the Chess Game simulator and captured the screen.  If you want the PGN file, the link is also given below.

BTW the simulation of today was done on the excellent WinBoard, a Windows port of XBoard from www.gnu.org/software/xboard/

Here is the simulation of the drawn round 2 game between Vishwanathan Anand and Magnus Carlsen in FIDE World Chess Championship 2013 at Chennai on 10 Nov 2013.

The PGN file for FIDE World Chess Championship 2013 match between Anand, V. and Carlsen, M. is uploaded into my Google Drive.  As is the standard practice, all the rounds’ data is inserted/filled up as the match progresses.  So, as the rounds unfold, I would endeavour to keep the file updated.

You can download the latest PGN file WorldChamp2013.pgn from the folder link here.  Note that the link is to a folder and clicking it will display the file with the option to download.
