Short of changing the Facebook profile picture to something inanimate like a flower or with a snarling face of the neighbour’s cat, I thought there was no chance of fooling the auto-tag feature in Facebook.
Even then, others in a group photo may tag my ugly mug for fun and disrupt the whole idea of a Cat-Man in disguise. But now a Netherlands based Simone C. Niquille has come out with ‘RealFace Glamouflage’ T-Shirts, which are designed to fool or at least frustrate the Facebook and other auto-tagging feature.
Even more breath-taking is the news that these T-Shirts are the result of Niquille’s master’s thesis in graphic design at the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam. Wonder if any brilliant guys in our own National Institute of Fashion Technology are listening (and thinking). Seems not only Universities, even vocational institutes are better abroad.
:-P
No wonder! Guess what the current HRD Minister (in charge of Higher Education) is wrestling with? The Minister Pallam Raju, is seized of the most monumental decision - whether to resign or not in the tussle between Seemandhra and Telengana.
Anyway to get back to our own confusing issues. Here is a YouTube screen capture of the T-shirts in action.
At $65 (~Rs. 4,000/-) or so a pop, they aren’t cheap! Guess I will stick to flowers and snarling cats.
