What is new in Comodo Internet Security 6.3

The first thing that happened when I switched on the PC today was the popup from Comodo Internet Security 6.2, requesting permission to install updates.

My favourite (and trusted) Comodo Internet Security (CIS) has been updated to version 6.3.294583.2937.  So what is new in CIS 6.3?

When I glance at the GUI of CIS 6.3, nothing (much) has changed.  Every box, indicator and menu is exactly as it was in CIS 6.2.  Which begs the question, is there anything special about CIS 6.3?

The Comodo Internet Security 6.3 has over 200 - yes, 200 plus - bug fixes, which alone makes it worthwhile to update.  Many of these bugs crashed applications, including browser windows and had an impact on PC performance.  Sure enough CIS 6.3 itself seems to be running faster in an hour or so of fiddling, though it is too early to form an impression on overall PC performance.

Is it worthwhile?  Definitely.  Comodo Internet Security is the only (free) Internet Security Suite to consistently score Excellent rating in Matousec Security Testing.  You can read the full results at: www.matousec.com/projects/proactive-security-challenge-64/results.php

And that was CIS version 6.0.  To think that the same CIS Paid version is selling for Rs. 1200/- per year’s subscription at Ritchie Street …
