CAT 2013 Registration opened today 5 Aug

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) opened up the Registration for candidates aspiring to take the Management courses in IIMs, today. 

Besides the 13 IIMs, some 85 other B-schools will admit students based on CAT 2013 scores.  Some of the prominent ones in the South Zone are:

• Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) Hyderabad
  
• Indian Institute of Plantation Management Bangalore
  
• T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal
  
• Welingkar Institute of Management, Bangalore
  
• Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Trichy
  
• Institute of Financial Management and Research (IFMR), Chennai
  
• Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), Chennai.

The Registrations would be open from today (5 Aug) till 26 September.  However the CAT 2013 Voucher Sale will end on 24 September.  CAT 2013 will be conducted from 16 October to 11 November 11 across 40 cities, which is 4 more than the 36 centres last year.

Here is the CAT 2013 Application procedure -

• Buy the CAT 2013 Voucher;
• Register for CAT 2013 Online, where you will -
• create a profile;
• fill out the CAT application; and,
• schedule the Test.

General Tips for CAT 2013 aspirants:

• Buy the CAT 2013 voucher online from the IIMs by logging in to the new CAT 2013 website - www.cat2013.iimidr.ac.in; or
• Buy them offline from select Axis Bank branches.
• Cost of the CAT 2013 Voucher is Rs. 1600 same as last year.
• Before registering online, ensure you have a *valid* email address.
• Ensure you have the required information handy -
• voucher;
• educational history;
• mark sheets (SSC, HSC, UG);
• work experience (if any);
• preferred list of IIM programmes.
