Last year Google pulled a similar trick with a gag of 8-bit Google Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) maps, which was hilarious. If that 80’s NES look was not retro enough, Google went further back to the 1800’s with this years launch of April Fools’ Day pranks with a supposed Treasure Hunt on Google Maps.
:-D
Be warned though. Google warns that the April Fools’ Day Treasure Hunt Map is based on “Beta Maps technology and has certain requirements. Your system may not be able to display at higher resolutions than paper print. Take care when unfolding the map to avoid ripping it.”
Here is want happens when we try our hand at the Google April Fools’ Day Treasure Hunt by clicking on the ‘Try it now’ button.
People are going to have a nice time trying to spot what Google has put in in that April Fools’ Day Treasure Hunt map.

Japan has Mt. Fujiyama, while India is represented at Delhi with a crown, engraved with the Lat-Long coordinates - along with that shame, Commonwealth Games Village.
Paris has the Eiffel Tower while London has the Eye.
In the United States, all I could spot apart from Washington Monument was the Palo Alto Observatory and of course the Google Head Quarters!!
