All these while we know of only one way to get someone's attention. By putting in an anchor text and laboriously linking to them.
Like when the science fiction competition announced by Paul Malmont back in June '11, I had to manually create link in Do Robots Feel?
But now with Google+, we have an easy way to capture peoples attention and popularize the blog itself.
Just adding the '+' handle before someone's name would create an automatic link; somewhat similar to the '@' handle in Twitter.
For eg., as I type +mad madrasi , everyone from 'Evil Mad Scientist' to 'Real Madrid' and 'Madonna' show up. Here is the snapshot.
And when you hover on that handle, it shows up my Google+ profile.
Cute, Isn't it?
I'm sure people are going to have more fun with this one.
If this feature was available an year and half back, I could have simply linked to the +Paul Malmont in a jiffy. (I hope that it is the correct Paul though).
LOL.
