This year the Pitru Paksham is from 30th September till 16th October 2012. The Mahalaya Amavasya occurs on 15th October 2012. The old man Krishnan.Vadhyar has been hard at work typing in the Mahalaya Amavasya Tharpanam procedure in Tamil.
He has planned to write out the procedures for Shaivaites, Vaishnavites and the Sama Veda practitioners as well for the Mahalaya Amavasya Tharpanam.
