Apart from the most interesting TV interview - a must watch - today, I’m going to spend this weekend (mostly) cleaning and sprucing up monkeyshine nutworks. Hopefully on Monday, 10th Sep, (it took me 3 weeks till 03 October) I would be able to post ‘why a clean up now’ article.
As a teaser let me just say that a friend, who is an expert in SEO, had taken a look at monkeyshine nutworks and gave a few pointers - which seemed most sensible. One of the tips was to take a hard look at how the articles have been Labelled or Categorized.
For eg., the frequent heads-up articles on new versions of software, like Firefox 15.0.1 released, were, till now labelled under both ‘updates 2 software’ and ‘Web-Tech’. Which is kind of superfluous, isn’t it? (Actually it is stupid).

I mean a ‘software’ is a ‘web-tech’. So why both?
Similarly a book review was classed under ‘Books’, ‘Reviews’, and ‘Politics’. Now, politics is a stupid (additional) label for a book review article.
Likewise Google Doodles had multiple labels including ‘Humour’ and ‘Sports’. The Doodles should rightly and only be classified as ‘Homage’, shouldn’t they?
So this weekend is to be entirely consumed with the cleaning, squaring and sprucing up the blog. If everything goes well, I plan to post a comprehensive tips to bloggers article on Monday.
