Google Chrome 20 stable is released

I made a joke about Google Chrome 19 and how there are about 19 security fixes  in that version.  It seems Google seriously takes this blog in consideration.  Just Joking.

Google Chrome 20 stable version has been released and the only major difference is there are 20 yes, 20 bug fixes, which not only fix security issues but also improve performance.

SVG and PDF-related codes have been updated and an update to “prevent sandboxed processes interfering with each other”.  Now that is a cute one, a sort of Catch-22 situation.  Normally we sandbox a process to prevent it from interfering with the OS or other applications.  Now Google says earlier versions of Chrome had a problem of processes ‘sandboxed’ interfering with other ‘sandboxed’ process.

And there I was, musing whether I’ve ever used a software version 20 in my life before.   Funny things apart, Google Chrome 20 is touted to provide enhanced performance, lesser memory leaks, fewer crashes and a better browsing performance.

Cheers!
