ImgBurn 2.5.7.0 is a free optical disc authoring tool. If that confuses you, the simple explanation is that ImgBurn enables you to burn CD/DVD/BD discs. It is the easiest to use of all the CD/DVD/BD burning tools, including Roxio and Nero. While the default controls are designed for ease of use by a beginner, ImgBurn is enabled with Advanced functionalities, accessible through context menus for more demanding users. For normal CD/DVD/BD burning jobs ImgBurn is ‘the’ simple, safe, error-free software, and it is free.
There are two major drawbacks and one irritant in ImgBurn 2.5.7.0 though.

There are two major drawbacks and one irritant in ImgBurn 2.5.7.0 though.
- ImgBurn is still not enabled with ‘Multisession disc’ option. It is possible in a convoluted way using cue files, and ‘convoluted’ is the word for it;
- ImgBurn cannot directly copy a disc. To ‘disc-copy’ we have to create an image file from the disc and then burn it back into a blank one;
- ImgBurn as of 2.5.1.0 had become an (optional)adware for ‘UniBlue’, which is irritating; thankfully we can disable/uncheck it during installation.
