Manmohan Jinx makes me a Mandrill Baboon

Suggesting that the USA request the PM to meet trouble makers was thought out as a jest.  It was inspired by the coincidence of the Singapore PM forced to accept a pay cut within a couple of months of meeting the Indian PM.

As I started to write it up, the list began to grow and detailed almost a score of incidents, where World Leaders met our PM and suffered some misfortune or other soon after.  Most seem to have suffered a loss of prestige and support with the seriously jinxed losing their grip on power.  It was just too tempting to ignore.

On Monday night, the Manmohan voodoo raised its head again.  The President of Maldives chose to  resign after a Police Mutiny.  Needless to mention that the PM, Manmohan Singh had met President Nasheed in November 2011, in the backdrop of the 17th SAARC summit.

In January 2012, the Malian President visited Delhi and held talks with the PM.  Barely had he returned home to face ex-Gaddhafi armed Tuareg rebellion in Northern Mali.
:-P

Despite the selection of Dassault Rafale as our Medium Range fighter, Sarkozy seems to be losing ground and is desperate enough to ask for the German Chancellor Angela Merkel to campaign for him.  /phrrr/

So, whether anyone keeps track or not, watch this space developing trends with the Manmohan voodoo and for more such insightful ideas.

My Wicked half whispers, ‘Say, what do these insightful ideas make me?  A Mandrill-Baboon, like Rafiki?’
