Who would have believed it! Seems the Newt and Mitt post is a hit. A whopping 331 page views on a single day. And the total views inching towards the nice, satisfying, easy-to-remember 25,000 mark. This definitely is nothing but a X’mas present or seeing that Pongal is 2 days away - a combined X’mas-Pongal gift. Whatever I love it!

The only damper is that today is Friday, the 13th day of January and Friday the 13th is supposed to be a bad luck day. This year, there are going to be 3 of them - today, in April and in July. But if *this* is the luck for me on Friday the 13th, I’d take it anytime. Looking forward to the next on 13th April, which is incidentally the Tamil New Year’s day.

To be truthful, I am more scared of Tuesday the 13th, which is when bad luck seems to catch up with me. I realised it when I was - you guessed it - 13. While sailing six or seven years later I learnt that Tuesday the 13th is considered unlucky in the Spanish speaking countries.
My Puzzled half prattles, ‘By chance, Did one of my forefathers tangle with Marco Polo, during his visit to the Tamil Kingdom(s)?’
