First the good news - Jiteco.com is giving away licences for their Camtica Screen Recorder Software, when you ‘Tweet’ or ‘Like’ on Facebook about it. There are already ‘112’ Likes as of this post.
The downside? - You’ve exactly one day to do it. The offer closes on, believe it or not, today - 03 Jan 2012.
The easiest way is to go to the Camtica product page, click ‘I Like’ and submit the details of the ‘Like’ or ‘Tweet’, including the link at their Support page and get the licence.
Now the background - On 31st I was requested by Jiteco to review Camtica 4.3.54378. Yesterday, once past the New Year weekend, I downloaded Camtica and gave out a try. I plan to run it through and post a complete review later today. But on the first look, Camtica seems to perform as promised.
Comodo Internet Security doesn’t complain about it, except asking for details of ‘the unknown’ file to be submitted to them, which I did. After a couple of runs, neither SuperAntiSpyware nor Malwarebytes AntiMalware (or Trend Micro HJT for that matter) reported anything suspicious - which is what I first look for.
So based on the first look and subject to the full review, I would recommend readers to grab a licence.
