We all know by now that Kapil Sibal has a bullying attitude, has a huge bloated ego and I-am-right-and-you’re-wrong complex. If you need any proof you just have to take a look at the TV interview he gave on taking over as Telecom Minister on the sacking of the tainted A. Raja.
We had a very good and close look at his sense of fairness too, when he decided to bully the Social Media Companies into accepting some sort of pre-filter censorship regime. I would have appreciated his attitude if he had gone to bat for some unknown guy being battered with online defamation.
But to go out there and start a fight for the Prime Minister and for his party president - 2 persons who are quite capable of fighting battles on their own - was a matter of utter disgrace.
As blogged earlier, he himself had no problems in defending M.F. Hussain over Hussain’s legal problems for depicting Hindu Gods and Goddesses in an uncharitable and offensive manner. The sense of ‘fairness’ and ‘fair-play’ which has suddenly bubbled up in him, two week back, was strangely absent during those years.
So while he is out to try and censor or filter what people write about in the social media, here is the horrible video of the most gruesome acts performed live on a reality show. It is really sickening to watch the video. Someone who watched it on my recommendation said it is like watching a snuff film.
A word of caution: This YouTube video is not for everyone - even if you are above 18 - though it was broadcast on a TV channel as public entertainment.
My Sickened half stutters, ‘Mr. Minister, shouldn’t you be putting the boot to your ministerial colleague on the content of this show? Or are you gone blind, deaf and mute when it comes to official media?’
My Mischievous half murmurs, ‘Hey Sibal! Why is that you didn’t get all growly and frothed up, when M.F. Hussain painted the first Mrs. Gandhi as (a bloody lipped) Durga, but act so rabid if some blogger attempts to depict the second Mrs. Gandhi as a (bloody lipped) vampire?’
ROFLMAO!
Capital! Sometimes, I do surpass myself!
