Literally. Astronomers are speculating that a Jupiter size planet orbiting a neutron star is of carbon squeezed into its crystalline state a.k.a. diamond.
The only catch is that it is 4000 light-years away which means it is safe from the mining-mafias back home.
:-)
Except for the fact that it is a ‘planet’ and not a ‘star’ the old nursery rhyme rings true (no pun intended) - even the star around which the diamond planet orbits is tiny - being a neutron star.

- Twinkle, Twinkle little star, (yeah, the star is little)
- How I wonder what you are, (does it glitter or is it dull?)
- Up above the world so high, (true, 4000 light years distant)
- Like a diamond in the sky. (literally a diamond in the sky)
