Mozilla Firefox version 6 is out and unlike for version 5, I did not finger around with the ftp site to get it one day early. As explained before, in both versions of Firefox 4 and 5, monkeyshine nutworks’ comment form has been broken and thus I was not much interested in hunting with the Fox.
So, I let the Fox do the automatic update today and was glad to see that the comment form has started working.
In case you don’t like the automatic update or want to retain a copy for whatever reason or want a different language pack, here is the link:
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/6.0/win32/
Double click on the language of your choice (either en-GB or en-US for us Indians and my brand of poison is en-GB), download the “Firefox Setup 6.0.exe”, and install/upgrade.
Don’t forget to check the MD5 or SHA1 checksums after download and before installation.
Here are the MD5 sums
and the SHA1 sums
338f0543c97264d41ccef3355698cb95a9275b29 -en-GB/Firefox...
BTW if you use http:// in the URL instead of ftp://, you might get an error message, in which case just change the ‘http’ to ‘ftp’ in the address bar.
Cheers and good hunting with the Fox.
