When one is a thinker, problems - personal, individual, social, political, economic and industrial - are always clogging your mind. The thinking mind keeps nibbling at them, at all times - eating, talking to someone, doing one’s chores, working or even at sleep.
All of a sudden a figure of speech or an incident sparks the connection and one realises that the solution to one of the problems niggling your mind is at hand.
That spark of inspiration is then allowed to germinate, grow and is presented as an idea, concept or theory. Before the advent of the world-wide-web and especially blogging, it was difficult to put out such ideas public - also called publishing. But with blogging, the tool to make public the idea, concept or theory is here.
And it is galling to see people hijack one’s ideas and put it out as their own. But having the blog under a public licence or perhaps because of it, perhaps, people have been taking my ideas for granted - and not even give due acknowledgement as to the origin.
So, I have decided that it is time for me to be given due, fair credit and acknowledgement (and gratification too) and modified the licence terms to a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License.
Tomorrow’s post will contain a short list of incidents which prompted me to do so. (never done)
In short term, it is also time for me to actually list out the ‘Hits and Misses’ page, which has been the intention but not been compiled till this post. (never done)
