Trust a right winger to twist the facts

That a right winger (or hard left for that matter) will twist the facts are well known.  We can see that happening in the USA with the GOP in shambles and the Tea Party spewing twisted views – with the President on back foot (and I can’t imagine why he is holding back).

Something similar is happening back home, where the question of utilization of funds is being twisted around by the desi-neo-cons into one of origin of funds.  The PM and the Gandhis hit hard against the current Bihar administration for non-implementation or under utilisation of the Central funds allotted to the state.

The right wing reaction is to twist the whole issue out of context, saying that Central funds do not belong to the PM or the Congress.

It is not often I tend to agree with the PM, but in this case, he is right.  If the funds are not being utilised, then the Central Government (of the day) has every right to express its displeasure and at appropriate forum.  True that the funds do not belong to any one party, but the responsibility not utilising it, (if it is so), does belong to the party in power at the state level.

However you shout Mr. Advani, the truth is that your coalition partner failed in his duty and being your partner, you (your party) too are culpable.
