Ms. Roy seems to be in a world of her own – oblivious to either the history, real-politick, or economic, social reality.
To equate the Republic of India with British Colonialism is the height of incomprehension.
If I didn’t know any better, I would accuse her of being ‘under-the-influence’ of what she only knows best. My charitable view is that she is under the influence of ‘grandioseness’. She obviously thinks that she knows best and she is the only one who is right.
Admittedly, I too many times think that I know better and that is the reason I blog (doesn’t every blogger?) – but I never assume that everyone else is stupid – merely took the wrong decision.
I honestly feel that people did *not* reach the correct conclusion and try to blog my reasoning in a honest, logical way. If it is proved correct, so be it. If not, it is a lesson for me that my thought process has missed something (at that point), and should be so amended in future.
To rely on rhetoric, dogma and to make outrageous statements, like Ms. Roy does, doesn’t display a keen, logical and fine tuned thinking mind. The least she can do is pose her contentions as interrogatives, querying for answers and not as final conclusions. If she does that, many would feel that what she says can be treated as under ‘free speech’ and be left alone.
Lacking that, it does bring up the matter of sedition. I don’t know if her parents are alive or she has an elder sibling, but it would do her good if they give her a good spanking, make her sit in the corner and see reason.
If not, well, lock her up on sedition charges and throw away the key – either she learns to think or thinks in the lam – we’ll leave it to her ‘superior’ intellect.

Roy is just 'playin' all this up to win a goddamn nobel peace prize.. all part of a sad strategy.
