As I had lamented before, the quest for politically correct speech is being carried to the extremes. Sometimes it is being carried to absurd lengths by people who should know better.
Additional Solicitor General, the first woman to hold such post in India, has seriously objected to the judges calling a kept woman a ‘kept’ woman. Even a sarcastic (my assumption) query by a Judge, whether the term ‘concubine’ could be more appropriate, seems to have had no effect on her rants.
The ASG seemed to have thrown a tantrum – I don’t know whether she did suffer from any ‘woman’ problems at the time, but reading her outburst reminded me of a cousin who acted pretty much the same during her PMS.
