Dogs can recognize their owners' face

A new study has shown that dogs rely on seeing their owners’ faces in order to recognise them. When owners covered their face, the dogs were unable to recognize them says the study.

I don’t know how long the study took or how much money they spent on it, but I could have told them these things for free.

In fact, I told them (and everyone too) so, in Yul Brynner look and even the dog doesn’t look in July 2010.

As explained in that post, the stray ‘red’ had difficulties in recognising me, even when I was within a few feet of her because of my tonsured head.  Only on hearing my voice, did she perk up and took notice.  So what’s next?  Another research proving that dogs recognize ‘His Master’s Voice’ in January?

My Mischievous half murmurs, ‘how about passing some of that research-grant my way?’
