Freedom of Expression? only in your bathroom

That seems to be what the Law Minister want to convey.  Doesn’t matter if it was a cry for action by an experienced bureaucrat who retired as one of the top civil servants of the country.  If your opinion doesn’t jell with that of the government, then you should not express it or if you do express it, then you should promptly apologize

Great words Mr. Moily, a nice position for you to take and if that is the official position, what about the whistle blowers act?  Wouldn’t whistle blowing hurt national pride?  Actually I feel that the Law Minister’s statement has hurt the National Pride more than anything else.

He goes on to add that the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India is not functioning up to the mark.  He wants CAG to be pro-active and expose scams ‘while-they-are-in-progress’.  Is that what CAG was designed for?  Perhaps the Minister should polish his glasses and look up what the words ‘Comptroller’ and ‘Auditor’ do mean.

I always thought the watch dog function which the minister refers to - to monitor or expose scams - was that of the Vigilance department and the worthy the minister has cared to slam was the Chief Vigilance Commissioner for the GoI, and whose '1/3rd is corrupt' statement was neither hurtful or wrong.

BTW Mr. Moily, seeing your views, have you been reading Mein Kampf of late?
