I was struck by this Pat Oliphant’s cartoon – even though it is about Wall Street and Goldman Sachs – it would also suit the current IPL mess. And being an ozzie-born himself, he would have a nice chuckle, I guess.
I don’t want to touch the cartoon, since that would be plagiarism, but suggest the following when you view it.
Substitute ‘Franchise bids’ for ‘Exhibit A’, ‘Franchisees’ for ‘Senate Committee Hearings’, ‘BCCI’ for ‘SEC’ and put in the names of politicians for those standing around. Only there should be 2 guys deposing - ‘LM’ & ‘ST’ (Lalit Modi and Shashi Taroor).
