The Daily Telegraph has reported that UK comic Gervais feels that Twitter is 'undignified'. He disparaged that it might be fun for teenagers, but is not good enough for grownups.
I think I partially agree with him. I don’t think that Twitter is good if you feel like blogging and expressing your opinion. Our own Shashi Tharoor is a great example of this. He tweets something and then has to say or clarify a whole blog equivalent, defending or extricating himself out of it.
Instead why does he not just blog ?
However, it could be a very good way of corporate announcements – short tweets to announce new releases, product updates, recalls, disruption of service or even point to another webpage about policy changes.
Update:
Surprisingly (to me at least) twitter is not popular with US teens says a Washington Post article. It may soon change.
